Buyer beware
Buying PoolPerf® to install yourself?
Make sure it is the real thing.
Some sellers and paid ads use the PoolPerf® name to sell imported perforated fencing that arrives as a kit you have to put together. Here is how to tell the difference before you order, and what to check when your delivery turns up.
Four signs you are buying genuine PoolPerf®
If any one of these is missing, stop and call us before you pay.
It arrives fully assembled
Every PoolPerf® panel and gate leaves our factory in Queensland ready to go up. You install it, you do not build it. If you are sent rails and sheets to put together, it is not PoolPerf®.
Panels up to 3 metres long
PoolPerf® panels are made to measure, up to 3 metres long. A seller who can only offer 2 metre panels is not selling PoolPerf®.
The gate carries the plate
Every PoolPerf® gate has the PoolPerf® plate on its top rail, marked By Decoview® and AS1926.1 (the Australian Standard for pool fencing).
You bought it from us
Genuine PoolPerf® comes from our own DIY shop, or from one of our Distributors. Not sure about a seller? Call 1300 332 688 and we will tell you whether they buy from us.
What a kit can look like once it is put together
A homeowner sent us these photos. They were told they were getting PoolPerf®. What arrived was an imported kit, assembled on site. Press a photo to see it full size.

When your delivery arrives, check these four things
Do it before you start digging post holes, and before you throw away the packaging.
- The panels and gate are already assembled. No loose rails, no bags of corner pieces.
- The PoolPerf® plate is on the gate. Top rail, marked By Decoview® and AS1926.1.
- The frame matches the panel. If you ordered textured black, the frame is textured black too, not a smoother satin black.
- Your invoice says PoolPerf® by name, not just “perforated aluminium fencing”.
Something not right? Call us on 1300 332 688 before you install anything.
The law is on your side. If your invoice says PoolPerf® and you were sent something else, the goods do not match their description. Under the Australian Consumer Law you can choose a refund, a replacement or compensation. What to do, step by step →
Seen a paid ad that says PoolPerf®?
Anyone can pay for an ad, and some are written to come up when you search for PoolPerf®. Before you order, look at the website address. Our DIY shop is diy.poolperf.com.au, and our main website is poolperf.com.au. If an ad sends you somewhere else, ask the seller who makes their fencing, or call us and check.
